But I need to write down notes and thinkings that comes forward from games played etc etc.

Like the note I was to write on Thursday when I played a game with a five stone handicap against a much better player.

I tended to make two things way to often, the first one is missing that two stones where in atari, or that the stone to be placed was just to become ataried. And attack from weak stones already in Atari or dangerous places.

I also got a comment about not playing the game in a way that the early game showed.

Another day at the Go club it is back to it's regular venue which I visited for the first time and as the area is shared between Go, Backgammon and Caroom clubs so it was a bit strange.

As for the games, I got to play another new player where I lost heavily as I missread a gigantic fight that stretch through the full middle. And getting confident in how to continue the early game and understand the balance I think.

And then happend two 9 handicap games where I lost but got a lot of advice. The first one used a timer which was a first time for me, of course the game become an learning game and a look at sente and gote and finding where to win the most.

And in the second game I did get a clear start and used the handicap stones but was then doing missreads in how to protect and where to gain the biggest territory etc but clear advice.

I think I need more acctual games and a bit less life and death, I think I like todo Life and Death problems to much

Losing two out of three games due to misreads and wanting to stop doing problems seems quite... contradictory, doesn't it? Additionally, I don't think you can solve too many problems. Time might be factor, though. For a hobby, I guess it's fine if you prioritise what's the most fun for you.

Maybe you can show us some games so we can give more specific advice?

Oh true, but the reading is for bigger problems (and no I would probably have lost both anyway but the big difference in the first game come from not noticeing things).

The problem with the problems is that I have a hard time to see when there is a problem, and often I play one wrong.

I don't remember my games, and have so few played online that I can't really supply any yet );

And I am sure the problems is still good after a night, it will probably make me learn to see where is gote/sente and where Seki and clear life is avaiable.

Today I attended my first tournament, and well I did not lose the first round (I got a bye because the drop between me and everyone else was gigantic I guess. Don't know how first turn Byes work in Go or the tournament software)

And then I lost the two games but learned a lot about how I should have played the handicap games, going through the games is a good practice that I wish I could learn in my games with my main opponent that I tend to run into a lot. Would benefit us both, although then I might never catch-up.

I also made big mistakes in the beginning. Which is saddly how few moves I remember. I tried making SGF of it but I think I need to learn that software a bit more first.
