Congrats to Tabemasu!

Now, next year, the L19 tournament should be to determine the challenger for the title. So whoever wins it next year gets to play a best-of-3 (say) match vs Tabemasu to attempt to take the title. :)

Admins/mods: Is it possible to change Tabemasu's title here (whatever it is called-- the lives in sente, etc text on the side) to something special? Like "L19 Champion" or "L19 Title Holder"? :mrgreen:

Yep, we can change it to anything. I think the champion should choose his own title, personally.

i think it will be more intresting to have challengers every month or two than one year.
one year is too long to wait. let's promote match like UFC or BOXING then it will be exciting to watch.

The alternative is to just have several different tournaments for several different titles, so one is going at all times. I know I was considering running a rengo tournament soon...

And, with respect to thanks, dfan deserves it more than I do (though obviously thanks very much anyway Joaz :)). He was tireless the whole time, and didn't end up running out of enough time to do it justice either.

Nothing official has been announced, but I would suspect topazg would announce it sometime in May, like what happened last time. Some people were trying to start it sooner but that effort appears to have fizzled out.
