Hey all!
I've had a passing interest in Go for last 20 years or so. Not much more than problems and AI games since I moved out of my roommate's place 19 years ago: we both played (very badly). I'm reintroducing the game to a few current friends and decided to get an extra fancy teaching board since I like the fast games of 13/9 boards. I had a few problems getting the wood to stabilize and thought I would share my experiences here so that the next guy can exercise more patience in the acclimatization process than I did.

My current set up is a 19x shin-kaya board, a pair of agathis bowls, an older set of YMI yunxi double convex stones, and now a nice hyuga-kaya itame-grain one-piece 13/9 board albeit wit a few cracks which have stabilized (crossing my fingers).
