Hello everyone, A new forum deserves a new name. So I am Cyclops from now on. A cyclops has only one eye, that is why. It is my last name. My first name is Nemo. I have degrees in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science. But my interest in science is more broad than that. I live in Amsterdam ( The Netherlands ), 60-, male, unemployed and happily married. I weekly play badminton in a club ( about 7 kyu ), I love camping, walking in mountaneous ares, and cycling in the lowlands. My wife says I am a good cook and she never lies. Further I read a lot and listen to music mostly jazz and classical music. Nederlands, English, Deutsch, Français, Español from excellent to poor are my languages. I seldomly play a game of go because I am to busy reading go books or discussing in this forum. The windmill picture (http://www.xs4all.nl/~amkoks/anja/slide ... olen2.html) reminds me of the last EGC in Gronningen, it was such a reat time! Welcome to the forums, havnt read such a good and short selfintroduction in a while, looking forward to read your posts  P.S.: MAybe we should start a cooking-thread, although my cooking skills are poor I somehow really like to try it

I had the same feeling when I saw some of the paintings. As for cooking, that reminds me, are we missing chef? He had a great cooking thread on GD. |

Welcome. Your wife´s paitings are really beautiful, i already put one as my background thank you for showing them, i hope there will be some more in the future. P.S: That cooking thread could really help, learning to cook other things other than eggs,potatos,spaghetti,rice and beef should be really helpfull |
