Battousai (AKA serapsis) went over the game for me last night. He suggested that should be at G3 because there's quite a bit of territory there and white cutting at G5 immediately is dangerous.

He thought was the right direction, though he would have put it at Q8. He didn't like O6 immediately because white could actually sacrifice the L5 group for huge potential on the right side.

He agreed that the double hane at was terrible. I feel like I lost the game there.

was a really bad tenuki; K16 or L15 is better; anything to deal with my blighted group in my upper left. Likewise, was a sincere effort to kill my own group. And there was this sequence to live unconditionally, which I think I would have found if I was in "problem solving mode" instead of "panicky game mode":

When I got knocked out of the tournament I guess I didn't say this. Definitely want to say it, though!

Thanks to everyone involved. This was my first real "tournament" and it was a lot of fun. It at least got me off my rear and made me play a few games.

Just played with POGO and won by resignation.
I felt very uncomfortable in the opening because I never tried 3*3 and 5*3 before. But since I couldn't play for a couple of weeks I wanted to try something refreshing. In the end it got a bit fighty and I think I should have got a worse result than in the game. A couple of moves were especially dangerous ("advantageous") I think.
But I was lucky in this game with conquering the top left and securing my bottom left.

To put everything into a nutshell: POGO played really well but was maybe a bit too cautious, the game should have become much closer!

Sorry, I know my game with Mosdefgo is overdue! I've been working seven-day weeks and have had no time. We're trying to get it in this weekend.

It looks like the one other overdue game is Nakamura-ketchup, unless I missed it.

Yes, this is true, I've sent Nakamura two messages through the forums, and I checked his last log in date on KGS(it was a while ago - July 12th). I really DO NOT want to take the forfeit win, so I am waiting for the last minute(to get called out on an incomplete game, so here I am) to say anything. It's been essentially around a month since he last logged on to KGS. I assume he's very busy, and has not had time for Go. I'm not too sure what else to do here. I think I will wait until dfan's game, since it is the last one left. If I don't see a response then, I think it is okay to take the forfeit win.

Sadly, I've not heard anything from Nakamura, and have not seen anything about a substitute player, so I have sent out a PM to topazg for a win by forfeit. I really dislike this, because it's the loser's bracket, but I see no way around this without delaying the tournament in some way.
