It seems like a very 1 sided (2 sided?) tournament but then there's also the really cool factor that some of these players from smaller countries (or without long Go history) get the chance to share a game with top players of the Go-pro countries. Were there any pictures of the event?

The Go associations in Asia are posting many pictures on their social media. Most of them are on Facebook some are also on X (is that what it is called?).

In round 1 Both Women and Men Taiwan lost to Korea, in round 2 Japan lost to china

Now Korea men face Japan men and Korea women face china women and Taiwan Women face Japan Women

Normally Korea and china fight for who gets gold and silver, while Japan and Taiwan fight for bronze. But in the men's individual main tournament Xu Haohong defeated both Koreans and then Ke Jie in the final!

I think a Korean news article said Korea is expected to win gold in both team competitions. Talk about delusional! But I would prefer Korea to win the team events!

Btw there is a pro in at least on of the lesser known teams. Malaysia has a professional player. https://www.nihonkiin.or.jp/player/htm/ki000505.html
