In the 2:30 SD World 2022 blitz chess game at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9Cswfzgo1MM Magnus Carlsen arrives late with 30s left to play slow motion chess. I did not know that chess blitz was so slow compared to go blitz!

In the 1995 European 9x9 Go Championship with 10' SD in my last and decisive qualification game, I used most of my time on move 5 and then had 26s left. Afterwards, to execute the strategy and win the game on 4s remaining time, I had to move super fast, at least what feels like 4x Magnus's speed in that game.

The time control was 3+2 or in other words 3 minutes with 2 seconds added for every move. Magnus used about 140 seconds after he arrived. His opponent also used much of his time early and maybe he wanted to give back the time. There is also a time control called bullet that is faster.

In online speed chess the players routinely "preplay" their movest, i.e. they click on their move before their opponent moves and that preplayed move becomes real once their opponent moves thereby using no time for that move. I think in one game in the speed chess championship Hikaru Nakamura preplayed more than 15 moves in a row in one game thus making 15 moves in a row for no time. Can such preplayed moves be done in online go blitz?
