As the cuckoo's song is the harbinger of Spring, so the season of granny pop-offs heralds the GoGoD Summer edition.

Now available at http://gogodonline.co.uk the new 2014 edition has 81,166 games. As well as being up to date, it includes a sheaf of old games, not least two games of Honinbo Shusai not in previous collections. We have also concentrated a bit on Japanese games from the 1920s and Chinese games from the 1950s and 1960s, and there is also a slew of new Edo games.

The number of milligods - players who have at least 1000 games in the GoGoD database - has swollen to 19 (Yi Se-tol and O Rissei are newly anointed). The number of double milligods is two: Cho and Cho.

This edition includes an html version of the Names Dictionary and also the complete New In Go html archive.

The SmartGo version of the database is currently being processed by Anders and will be available very soon.
