With short notice, the AGA is sponsoring a knockout online tournament to send one woman representative to the Bingsheng Cup World Womens Weiqi Championship in Suzhou, China Sept 11-14 The Bingsheng Cup is a 4 round single elimination women's tournament with a prize purse of $67,000. http://www.usgo.org/news The North Americian qualifier will be this weekend on KGS. A Canadian qualifier to fill one of two slots was played on KGS yesterday where Sarah Yu 6d defeated Irene Sha 6d by resignation Games today will begin at 10am pacific Wan-yu Chen 4d vs April Ye 3d Sarah Yu 6d vs Yinli Wang 6d Then at 4pm pacific today Cathy Li 1p vs [Chen/Ye] The final will be tomorrow at 10am Pacific |
