The Third Bingsheng Cup of women's world championship has just been announced. Issues not related to Go caused the delay in the announcement. The tournament will be held October 28 through Nov. 4, 2012, in Suzhou, China. Sixteen of the world's best female players will be invited, with all expense paid, plus a fee of about $850 for each game played and top and second-place prizes of about $28,000 and $11,000 respectively. Outside of the big-three, one player each will be selected from Taiwan, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Interested player should watch out for announcement of the selection process in each region or contact her national tournament coordinator very soon. |
