Not my first post, but I've already had amusing off-topic distraction, and a super helpful game review, so I'll definitely be around a lot more
I'm 38 years old, Australian, work in software development in London, and have just 'properly' discovered Go. Someone taught me to play in my early twenties but my mind was elsewhere and I never really played. Like a few other things, I wish I'd got into it earlier because I suspect the learning curve would have been steeper as a young person, but it is what it is. I'm presently playing on OGS because I find being able to dip in and out of games really convenient, and 9x9 almost exlcusively. Some time in the near future I'm sure I'll branch out into KGS and maybe try and find a Go club near me (I live in Acton, if anybody has a hint).
Outside of Go and work, I skydive a lot. It's pretty cold right now so my other obsession can take a back seat to this one
