Hello, Life in 19x19! My name is RichFish and I'm coming back to Go after a several year hiatus. I have a few questions about how these forums are meant to function.
I am going to try my hardest to train as much as possible, hopefully getting at least one game in a day along with at least an hour of study of some kind, whether that be reading, tsumego, or personal game review. With this in mind, when is it acceptable to upload a game for review on this site? For instance, if I have a game where I won, but I have questions about how I handled the early game, is it acceptable to ask for a full review? Other forums I have seen request that only losing games be uploaded for advice, but I feel I can learn a lot from even won games, especially at my level at the moment.

Re: Returning to the game with lofty expectations
Welcome!
There are no hard-and-fast rules. I think it is more helpful to post close games if you're looking for a "full review." That is, don't post games in which one side slaughters the other. But even with this, there are exceptions. For example, if a game looks very close, but at the end someone blunders and loses by 30 points, it is okay to post it.
All that said, if you have questions about particular positions or the opening, it doesn't really matter what the rest of the game looks like.
Also, you will get better feedback if you include questions when you post the game, even if you're asking for a general review.
