Tygem Premium?

Post by Drew »

I logged into Tygem global yesterday after a long absence and saw that there are now many premium servers.

Is anyone here a premium member? Can you explain a bit about what that costs and grants?

I was wondering the same thing. The premium servers are free obviously, but why are they called "premium"? I don't see any difference to the other servers. Maybe something fancy about betting? Would be interesting to know.

I can't say it's true here, but often the limitations on servers and features apply to the Asian countries and not the global accounts/client.

I read somewhere that this is true of IGS as well. Why have different policies based on the location of the user?

Because the location might indicate a user's willingness to pay for a service.

My guess is that some of the services they provide for paying customers might be language specific. But it's still nice for them if there are plenty of people online to play games, so it could be beneficial to allow people from other regions into the rooms.

Some paid features are language-specific, but oren is right - some blocked features are simply available on the english client (e.g. restrictions on number of people watching a popular game).
