Hi all,
i am in trouble with my current rank (7kyu KGS) and can't progress anymore.
I posted this game here because the last games was pretty similar to this. I played black and had the idea of having a big moyo in the middle area but the result was always not so good.
What do you think are my mistakes?

I think you mostly have a problem with shapes.

:b5: (edit: I meant :b7:) is normally at Q5. You don't want your opponent to hane at the head of your two stones.

:b23: should be at O16. Most of the time you don't want to give your opponent a tiger's mouth and leave your stone with 2 liberties.

:b61: not answering the peep leaves cutting points.

Around move 79 you made a series of bad ataris that actually helped your opponent strengthen his stones, and left many cutting points in your shape. Instead of ataris, consider to extend your stones and make a strong shape.

:b87: what's the point of that move?

:b97: is it necessary?

Move 109: cut at P9 and try to kill the stone.

I think this was one of the worst move of the game.

An error, thinking the white group was not safe.

I tried to read some continuations but i can really find any group to kill on the right side.

I meant: try to kill O9. If you succeed you get a bigger territory at the bottom. If you don't, the attack allows you to put stones in the center and control the game.

Both players made a lot of mistakes in local technique in the first corner

- Aside: 5 shoulder hit is fine locally speaking, though globally it's not so good, but this is higher level. Against a 3-3 point what you should generally do is this order 1) nothing 2) approach from the side after other 3-4 and 4-4 corners played out, 3) shoulder hit if you are building a moyo or reducing their moyo
- 7 is bad because it allows white to play hane at head of 2 at q5 and then your liberties are low. Better to q5 or q6
- 8 should be q5 to hane at the head not the tail: a stone at q5 has influence towards the large open area of the board, rather than the 2 lines of the edge like q2
- 9 good
- 10 should be solid connection at r2. This is a very common beginner mistake. Solid is better because it doesn't leave a peep at s2 and adds more liberties to r3 r4 stones, which will be important later
- 11 good, extend your liberties, threaten to cover at r5
- 12 would be better sliding to get ahead at s6, rather than this pushing from behind. It would be nice if white could safely jump to r6, but because of the r1 mistake this is not possible: black can push and cut at s6 and if white captures at s7 then black s4 and then s3 is atari (it wouldn't be if r1 was r2) and black captures all the corner. Little details make big differences.
- 13 should keep extending at q6
- 14 should punish black's mistake and hane at q6.
- 15 playing in this area is good, but maybe this is not the best.
