The newest pro will be minted in about a week.
Schedule and players here: https://nagofed.org/docs/2022-pro-quali ... -rules.pdf
I thought I saw Aaron Ye on an earlier list, but he's apparently no longer playing. He would have been my pick. I don't recognize a lot of these folks. Guess I'm getting old.
Why did AGA not continue the pro certification program?

Eric Lee - Used to be active on L19 (shaddy/shadonra)
Eric Yoder - Used to play in Inseong's AYD (redreoicy); active at tournaments and go congresses.
Yuan Zhou - Has played in the pro tournament in the past. Go book author, and active in the AGA (http://zhouyuan.com/)
Rémi Campagnie - Active in the Canadian go scene. There was recently some commotion over possible AI cheating in the AGA City League (https://forums.online-go.com/t/cheating ... 2021/34815)
Tyler Oyakawa - Attends a lot of US Go Congresses. Has a cool youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/TylerOyakawa)
Edward Zhang - Pretty active in the AGA as a TD and coordinator. There was some discussion about him on this forum a few years back (https://www.lifein19x19.com/forum/viewt ... 22&t=13465).
I am unfamiliar with the other 5 participants. Though, I'm in denial about getting old

Re: Why did AGA not continue the pro certification program?
A bit more on other players.
Kevin Yang is the 2021 California champion and has won/played in other US tournaments. He volunteers his time teaching the local San Diego Go Club. He played in the Transatlantic Online Pro League, did very well, won his match against Ilya Shikshin 4P. https://eurogofed.org/pros/league.html
In 2021 Alexander Qi won the open section of the South Central Go Tournament. Kevin Yang was second.
Meanwhile, I just found profiles posted by the E-journal so I'll end there: https://www.usgo.org/news/2022/06/nagf- ... -profiles/
