I am a little confused about the topic. MFOG 12 is not a pre MCTS program. You have to go back to MFOG 11 for that. I believe MFOG 12 uses its rules to pick candidate moves, and then MCTS to choose thebest of these. That's MFOG 12 at its highest settings. At lower settings uses just rules (and ca randomize, not ALWAYS play the same.

Yes, of course. As far as I know, Rémi Coulom used MCTS for the first time in the Crazy Stone program in 2006. I posted these games because I consider Handtalk to be a strong and interesting program
in all the games of the program, they played at maximum strength, except for MFGO 12.022. MFGO 12.022 played at level 3 kyu, its maximum level is 1dan
