Hello! My name is Daetan and I'm a beginning player of about 15-10kyu strength. I'm currently looking for an SGF tsumego database (now that I've found an online community to join ) so if ya'll have any directions to search in I would be most obliged. If you want a free joseki collection, you can try out kogo's joseki dictionary. However, this compilation was not made by professionals, and is sometimes criticized for being inaccurate.

If you want a more accurate joseki dictionary, you can buy one in book format, such as ishida's joseki dictionary set. People criticize ishida's for being outdated, but I think it's still useful. There are also newer joseki books. But it looks like you are looking for something electronic. The good thing about the books is that they sometimes provide explanation.

There is an interesting website made by someone here on the forums called "Daily Joseki", which uses a database of pro games to tell you what pros played in a particular situation. Using this site doesn't guarantee that a particular sequence was deemed as "joseki", but you'll be able to have good confidence in a move, maybe, if a lot of professionals played it.

If you are looking for a pro game database, you can try GoGoD. This is a collection of a lot of pro games, and has some other software to go along with it...

So I would say, in terms of free resources, I'd check out:
* Kogo's (or eidogo if you want to use it online)
* Daily Joseki

If you don't mind paying some money, I'd just buy a joseki book. You can also buy GoGoD if you want a large collection of pro games.

Howdy Daetan! Welcome to the forum! Personally, for TSUMEGO, I like http://gochild2009.appspot.com/. There are some pretty good problems there for any strength. Additionally, goproblems.com isn't bad, and there are several apps for the smartphone of your choice, if your phone is smarter than you (mine outsmarts me daily).

Let me know your thoughts on either, if you try them!

It seems to have one of the best progressive grouping of problems for leveling up -- covering many fundamental shapes that I seem to have missed in my early introduction to the game. (and so far, I'm only speaking of the Beginner level)

It was a little confusing at first how to use it, but once you get the hang of it, its easy and fun to use. It keeps track of your progress and ranks you against other users -- giving more ranking points to more difficult problem groups.

I like it much better than GoProblems.com. It has better constructed problems targeted at teaching very specific concepts.
