Samsung 'Star' S5230 phone - Go software

Hi all,

Is anyone aware of any Go playing software for phones of this series? Ideally something that has an AI. The phone has java, so I was hopeful I might find something, but I haven't had an luck so far in my searches.

If anyone can recommend any resources for searching for phone programs that would be great. I have very little experience of phones with apps, so this is all pretty new to me!

Ah, I've just downloaded Gome, which seems a great resource for replaying games...except it's discontinued, and my free trial will end in 40 hours.

Does anyone know of another java (j2me?) app that allows you to replay games with commentary? I'm searching all over now but can't find anything.

Gome! I remember that, I was one of the beta testers, the author is a friend of mine. I've sent him a mail about it, will reply here if/when he gets back to me.

Aha, I have just located Tiny Go. Seems pretty good! Pretty decent board on my phone, easy to navigate through pro games etc. I recommend it.

This leads me to wonder if anyone knows a good resource of free commented pro games in sgf, but I'm sure this has been asked so many times I will search the forums first...

don't know much about commented pro games, but how about very strong top amateur (and some pro) games commented by pros...

From the Gome author "it is my plan to open source it on github or something so people can fork it or maintain it. Also parts of it could be useful to make other go products"
