resell go books

Hey guys,

I've been thinking about reselling go books / material since there is almost no decent shop around.
Do any of you have experience with contact with the publishers / vendors ?
Would companies like kiseido accept relative small amount buys for resell ?
What would be the procedure ? Should I contact them personaly or do they have a resellers site ?

Any help would be greatly apreciated!

Of course you should contact them personally, they will tell you whatever you need to know about that. The only issue is that with small amounts I don't think you will get much of a discount if any. And no, they don't have a special site for resellers.

You may have discovered this yourself by now, but the major publishers aren't particularly open to the idea of distributors/resellers because they think those people will take sales away from them. That's probably why there are very few comprehensive Go book shops around.

Personally I think the pie can be expanded so that everyone wins, including the customers and authors, but I failed to convince them of that. We eventually gave up and decided to focus on other things...
