I logged into WBaduk a few days back, just to see the WAGC games really. For a 28Mb download I really expected something better. The GUI was all roar and no ease. The translation pretty amateur. Am I missing something with this server? Is there a better client than the default one?

The English one is just pretty bad. I can say the Japanese one is a bit more polished, but it's the same GUI. I assume the Korean one is the same way.

I tried to use it. But I don't see anyone on the Wbaduk server. Am I supposed to use the Korea one?

You might have to connect to the server twice, as there is a bug where you don't connect to anything, yet it appears as if you're logged in. And Javaness, your choice of title makes me want to demolish your face with a sledgehammer. But let's leave it at that, you are after all, right. Wbaduk interface sucks.

[OT]: As I understand it, Buddhism is not a religion but more a science of human progress and a philosophy. But I know there are quite a few orthodox sects in Buddhism which prefer to stay in medieval thinking …

But then again, atheism, to me, is a religion whose followers believe there is/are no such thing/s as God/s :P

I prefer to be an eclectic: I pick the raisins from all those cakes there are.

Atheism is a lack of belief. Not a belief in absence. We leave the certainty to the religious people and we keep on walking toward a broader knowledge of the universe until eventually we realize we can't know everything, or we know everything... but I digress.

That sounds more like Agnosticism than Atheism.

I am so glad sometimes that discussing religion isn't allowed under the tos. :-?

You want it banned, you hit that little red exclamation mark. It won't ban itself, now will it?!

I wasn't suggesting that Bonobo should be banned. Far from it. Just that he has opened a tiny illogical window into a parallel universe in which we discuss religion on L19. Parallel, and frightening.

Oh

Please forgive me if I violated the TOS with my comment and/or if I hurt anybody’s feelings, this definitely was not my intention, that’s why I set a part of it cursive and had that other disclaimer (“is, to me, …”). From now on I’ll be more careful.

My comment was written rather light-hearted, as I have a hight tolerance for all kinds of beliefs (but not necessarily for the actions that may result from these). But I understand it could be interpreted otherwise.

Peace, Tom
