Yes, my thoughts exactly. I just wanted the logo with the red Papyrus font to get replaced with something, even if temporary, for the time beingfwiffo wrote:There might be copyright issues with that image, though, so it probably can't be a permanent logo. If there are any photographers on the forum with swanky equipment, mayhaps they'll donate some pretty pictures to the forum so the graphic designers here have some good unencumbered raw materials to work with.

Re: Site logo
Oooh, I like this one of Gresil's. I also really like the idea of changing the logo often, once we have several options to choose from. So... rock on.
Someday I want to be strong enough to earn KGS[-].

Re: Site logo
You should be able to modify the phpbb template to acommodate any reasonable image size. I'd really like to see gresil's tried out, for instance.Jordus wrote:logo will need to be around a the ratio for a 550px × 75px size. otherwise we get the stretching like we ave now.

Re: Site logo
Gresil's latest looks really cool, and I like the idea of showing the gridlines on a board to reflect the title of the site.

Re: Site logo
Those are looking nice Gresil. I'd vote for one of those to get put up. Would help keep us out of any copyright issues, even though I do really like Araban's.

Re: Site logo
I'm a big fan of the new logo, but I think it would be even better if it wasn't just a blob in the middle of the header, but rather extended across the entire top. We could continue just the grid or even add more stones. Either way it'll give it a more solid and consistent look than just a brown image on a light-blue background, no?
How hard would that be, Gresil?

Re: Site logo
Yeah, the dimensions are hardcoded in at the moment, but if we had a wider image, it would be pretty trivial to modify the template.Jordus wrote:the image is resized to that in the template. creating a larger image wouldnt works me thinks....
