And once more the amazing double approach empty triangle joseki at work. This time I even manage to win the game ;-)

Early 3-3 invasion by white. After a successfull white opening, both players make several mistakes.

Applying the counter strategy against the chinese opening as recommended by Leela Zero.

I studied Leela Zero Anti-Chinese-Opening today and wrote a thread about it. So I was very happy when in the evening at the go club my friend tried to play the chinese opening against me

Nerve wrecking double 3-3 invasion and stubborn application of my beloved tsuke-osae joseki. I should stop playing for asthetics and ideas and play a little more rational.

Never stop playing for asthetics :o ;-)

Amazing game, it's a real nice one to follow, that 3-3 invasions really turned into a nasty fight.
Nice spot at move 183. I found the sequence quickly enough, too, but you already gave the first move away

Today I lost a simultaneous game with my friend (video review):
In the video Leela Zero stopped working after the deceisive mistake. I continued to play and managed to catch up. But in the end there is nothing for white, black wins with at least 1.5 points, so I resigned.

Congrats to my friend! :)

One more game played today:

There is a weak black group in the upper right corner early in the game. White uses the chance to attack and gain an early lead. Then white just continues a calm game.

Today I played 3 games:

Game 1 against my very strong friend F. (F = King of Ko at our local club )
Game 2 against my quite strong friend TK. Both players make several mistakes, but I make the last mistake
Game 3 against my strong friend TB. We tried some early 3-3 invasions to expand our go knowledge.

BTW, I'm pretty sure 285 is a fake threat (unless I misread):

If white fill the ko, and black F3, then white G2.

Here two possibilities for black : F1 or H1

If black F1, then white start by filling the liberties on the E column and can capture black

If black H1, then F1, G1, E1 and white can capture the F3 stones later.

Obviously, the game is already decided, so it's of no real importance

Counting the liberties is not good enough. Lazy me.

Counting the ko threats would be a better approach ;-)

And now for something completely different:

I review a game with my friend A. with both the Leela Zero network and the much stronger Facebook Elf network. Most of the time the two networks agree but sometimes ...

Let us botch a game and capture a big dragon to win it in the end.
