The problem getting "stuck" doesn't really sound like a bug to me. Did you try restarting the problem
and looking for a hint? From the beginning of the problem, there should always be at least one move
that is considered correct. If you have played a move that isn't part of the problem tree in the file,
then the problem is marked as wrong, and there won't be any hints from that point onward. Hints just
show the moves that are part of the SGF file, and whether they're marked as correct or not, so if you're
off the tree, there won't be any more hints until you back up.

Well, the one problem where I saw this was showing correct moves up to a certain point, then nothing. I couldn't find the problem again, but I did reset it several times to try and find the answer.

BTW, it might be good to have a way of flagging favorite problems to come back to them, or to show them to others.

Was the problem that got stuck from XXQJ, or was it one that you added?

Hi,

I downloaded GoGrinder and installed the Guan Zi Pu collection you linked. When I clicked the collection the program crashed, now it crashes at startup <_> I have a 3GS with the latest software updates..

Ack!

You should be able to get back in by deleting the app from your phone, and then resyncing with iTunes.
Then you won't have the Guan Zi Pu collection, so the problem should go away. You can also do this by
unchecking the app in the iTunes app screen when your iPhone is attached, hit Apply, and then recheck it
and Apply again.

Let me know if that helps or not.

For anyone who has seen a crash:

You can really help me out a lot by sending me the crash dump. After you sync your
device, the dumps should be in the following location:

* Mac OS X : ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>
* Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/<DEVICE_NAME>
* Windows Vista: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>

The files will end with .crash. If you can enter a bug report at the link below and attach any .crash files you have,
it will be much easier for me to find the problem.

Has anyone but grillapa installed Guan Zi Pu? I haven't had any trouble with it.
I'm trying to get an idea of where his problem is coming from.

grillapa, when you had the crash, had the problem set been completely unpacked?
Did the add collection screen say complete before you tried to select the set?
You shouldn't be able to leave the screen until it's done, but maybe it's possible.
Do you remember exactly what you did before the crash? Was it right when you tapped
the collection to choose it?

I am planning to add true iPad support, but I'm going to fix bugs, and there are some other
features I would like to add first. The big one is keeping a history for the problem sets -
How many problems were correct each time it was solved. Also, I'm teaching three courses
this semester (teaching is my second job), so it probably won't happen until around the end
of the year.

Thank you so much for taking this project on, for me this is a very important app to be able to load your own problem sets (I had hoped smartgo kifu would have had this feature by now). I haven't downloaded it yet but will do so this weekend. I will definitely look forward to the iPad application of it down the road.

So far so good. I've been able to work a number of problems. However, when I tried to load the problem set referenced above I got an error. Ideas?

I agree with this. The "..." is non-intuitive.

Is it me, or is the magnifier a bit off? When I try to click on a place to play, the magnifying glass shows up slightly below where I thought I clicked.

I find myself having to try to look around my finger (Fat Fingers???) to see the detail. This happens left and right, not just up and down for me.

RazorBrain, do you remember what the error message was?

The magnifier should appear above your finger, and it has a stone in the center that
shows where you're placing the stone. If you get close to the top of the screen it
moves to the left or right so you can still see it.
