Thanks for for all your efforts past and future! For Go on iOS I mainly use Go Eye and SmartGo Kifu (including Go Books). Over the last year or so Go Eye has become the one that I use most frequently as the features have steadily developed. Just in case it is not obvious what's new in this version, a collection of Go Seigen's game is added. This is based on Chinese sources, including 824 games. There are probably dozens of his games missing for the moment but I will help Go Eye to review this and find all the missing games. The translation of game information will also be improved over time.

This update seems to have lost the event name in the link to Go4Go. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hello,

I tried to open Kogo's joseki dictionary in Go Eye from the web site :
http://waterfire.us/2014.02.25_KJD.zip

The first time it crashed the app.
Second time the file installed but trying to open it freezes the app.
Did not succeed on iPad 4 nor on iPhone 4s iOS 7.1.1

Otherwise very good app...

Thanks for reporting the problem. This is a huge single SGF file archive (1.2M in a single SGF). The first crash is due to out of memory. The second time the memory is just enough to pass. The freezing is the performance issue. Will find way to optimize for huge file. Please stay tuned.

One workaround right now is to cut the huge file into smaller files (Each starting location in one SGF file) and load it with Go Eye.

Go Eye released 1.6.1. First day after Go Seigen's 100th birthday.
Now it has the most seamless web experience for Go ever, after great improvements in the in-app web browser.

For instant news about Go Eye, reporting problems, tweet with #GoEye tag at twitter is a new way.

What's New in Version 1.6.2
Improved the SGF parser speed by 100%+.
UI polishes and small bug fixes.
Fixed crash on iOS 5.1.1 when opening a saved game.

This problem should be addressed by the latest 1.6.2 release. Please let me know if there is still problem on your devices. Thanks.
