If you have even the slightest idea about chess and haven't heard about Carlsen then you should be worried. If you don't care at all then it's the same as someone not knowing Lee Sedol which is fine.

As I write (2014-11-30) I gather Kasparov is about to play two games of chess with shogi wizard Habu Yoshiharu in Tokyo. Kasparov estimates Habu is about 2500 Elo. Habu is also a decent go player. Not sure whether he can chew gum as well.

Nope, they were played quite a few hours ago (yesterday, actually, for GMT dwellers), Kasparov 2-0. Habu is officially 2400, but Kasparov rates him higher.
