Jedo and I played our second game last night; I won and the series is now tied 1-1. Our next game is Monday at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern.

Here is the SGF (interesting game, I'm still in disbelief that Black's lower-right corner died):

Hmm, maybe round 2 should wait for round 1 to finish? I think this is how we did it last time.

Hm, possible? Aphelion seemed to think that it was standard practice to play everything "as soon as possible". I didn't participate in or follow the last tournament, so I don't know how it was done. I'm fine with waiting, perhaps RedStick can clarify which way is "proper"?

There's certainly a bit of charm to synchronizing the rounds; I wouldn't vote against it, myself.

With that in mind, I guess we'll play tomorrow at 1900 CEST iff we've received confirmation that the rounds are not supposed to be synchronized before that.

I would say waiting makes more sense. The obvious danger here is to finish round 2 at the same time as the other 4 players finish round 1 and then to have to wait 2 weeks to play a round 3 game. Also, this gives a reward to sweeping the series since it gives you more time to prep for the next round. But if it looks like schedules will be less accomodating and it will be tough to play 5 games in the next 2 weeks feel free to spread the games out leisurely. Just don't try to rush through round 2.

Seperate note: Just to clarify redundant and I are playing at 7pm EST tonight.

Also:Karaklis and SoDesuNe don't forget you aren't out of the tournament. You will play each other in the first round of the secondary bracket. The route to the championship through the secondary bracket takes one more round of playing (while the primary winner gets to rest) but each of you still has a shot at being the next Kuchinashi.

That makes sense. However, I don't mean to be a bother, but: I have real-life obligations in the beginning of June, so having to wait two weeks to play a round three game actually sounds pretty attractive to me if those are the two weeks. If round two starts in about a week what I'll likely want to do is delay all the games until after June 10, towards the end of the two weeks. I don't know whether my opponent and the other people in the tournament would find that more or less disruptive than starting early?

If starting early makes it easier to finish on time then by all means start the series.

Padic and I played our first Round 2 game today. I took Black and Padic held the White stones. Result is B+R.

I lead our series 1-0, and game 2 will be tomorrow 19:00 CEST

Ah, Shaddy beat me here. Thanks again for reviewing! Needless to say I won the game (it was very close, very exciting), and lead the series 2-1. Jedo, I will contact you to discuss when the next game is.

Nikolas73 : FYI
P14 will work at kyu level but if you play against stronger player you will not be successful.
you will have to feel why it is a bad move yourself so i am just telling you the answer.
when you feel that P14 is a bad move you may be 1D level certified.
