Similar here (Northern Germany) … I just tried to load a short thread w/ 12 replies, no problem, then two threads w/ 80+ replies … waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, after about a minute (!) the pages load.
<edit>And submitting this comment was fast, but loading the page after that was very slow again, > 1 minute

I haven't seen any problems from portugal, lately. But I'm not sure I've been coming here on European time, so dunno.

I had several problems yesterday - no time out though. Mostly it just loaded like forever but eventually the requested page popped up.
