I'm curious as well what about this game might seem unfamiliar, because it looks normal to me and my relatively superficial understanding of any professional game. I was surprised by the suddenness of the attack at the top, but it seems like the strategic themes of the game are visible. There are plenty of modern games that look like chaos to me, but this isn't one of them.
