Should there be an L19 room on KGS?

Anyone? I don't think a lot of people used the GD room, so it may not be worth it...
To wms: any chance of advertising this forum on KGS so we can alert people who haven't followed the discussions on Sensei's?

Maybe the GD room can remain ? So the name GD doesn't disappear completely...

Well, if KGS advertises Life In 19x19, I'd feel a bit sad for cthomas since then the Dojo - Life In 19x19 battle is totally lost for him.
I think at the beginning, friendly competition of two boards would be more beneficial, though it sure seems now that LifeIn19x19 is picking more momentum (though I think this outcome was probably pretty much random process and followup snowball effect).

It's not a battle between 2 forums. I think replacement of GD is in bad shape if we think about the situation this way.

I don't see why not? The Dojo could also request their own room, and if both are accepted then in due time (which I intentionally left a bit vague) one forum can rule over all.

the advertising is already being done in the GD room (though indirectly at the moment, via Sensei link)
I also considered the possibility of just renaming the GD room to L19 (or something). Or just keeping it GD and taking it over (technically its ours anyway)

There is no point in a "competition" between two starting boards. The most important thing is to have a working forum with a big user base. The value of the forum is entirely in the user base. Having several just means there is no good forum (we are talking about a pretty small community anyway).

The owner, cthomas, saw that most of the community moved here, so he graciously redirected the link from his forum to here, so as not to splinter the community.
