My first floor Go board

I bought my first floor Go board today from a local antique warehouse. They regularly bring various antique and stuff over from Kyoto, Japan.

I forgot to ask how old it might be, but it doesn't look too old. Its an 5-1/2" floor board with a beautiful golden brown color (I couldn't tell you the type of wood, but maybe some of you can guess from the photo). Its a single piece board with itame-omote cut (I think that's what its called). Came with a paulownia cover and beautiful, but small, old chestnut bowls, with less than a full set of thin glass stones (probably about 5.5 mm thick). Only 160 black and 118 white stones. But I didn't buy it for the stones :). But I do wished the bowls were larger. They are too small for my standard 8mm sized stones.

The set was $210.

edit: changed itame-ura (lower half of semi-circle on each end) to itame-omote (upper half of semi-circle on each end)

Horrryy shett, that's the kind of things I daydreamed about. Wandering into an antique shop and finding a treasure! Sweet!

From the photograph the color suggested katsura to me, but I've never seen kiomote cut in a katsura board, they are usually kiura.
