Is there something like this? I don't really need commentary, so it doesn't have to be in english, I'm basically looking for most games/$.
Any help highly appreciated.
€: Forgot, I did find this:
http://senseis.xmp.net/?HoninboShueiCom ... Collection . But it seems pretty costly as I only found a seller in china, from a european shop soemthing like this might be ok.

If you just want most games, you could get GoGoD?
http://gogodonline.co.uk/
John Fairbairn has published some books on Amazon store and you can get one book on the Nihon Kiin e-gobooks. After that, the shipping will be expensive to get any other books.

Here is a link to the SL page for a Chinese book, supposedly Shuei's "complete" games:

I have no idea whether this book is still available or how to get it. GoGoD probably has more games, anyhow.
I have long enjoyed playing through Shuei's games but I must say they aren't easy to understand. There is a tendency for his play to look like he isn't doing anything. It is like a martial arts master who defeats attacker after attacker without any effort.

Thanks.
I didn't miss Johns book, but its 11$ for 21 Games, at that rate getting the other book from china would have been cheaper, since I don't care too much about the commentary(also I don't own a Kindle).
Gogod seems to be the best deal, oren could you tell me how many of his games are included in there?

I've read that as well, which was the main reason I became interested in his games. Crazy fighting games are fun to watch/replay, but I find it hard to get a lot out of them when it comes to pure learning effect. Besides, I'm really more of a quiet player myself(but given my rank that doesn't mean much^^).

Technically, all. In smartgo kifu (which has Gogod included) it's 176 as Honinbo Shuei, 100 odd as Hayashi Shuei and some more with other names (don't remember how to get full counts now...)

At the publication of John's books, GoGoD had 284-games of Shuei. You can take the game records and make your own books, for example:

The most complete collection of Shuei games I know of has 292 games and was published in Japan in 2007 under the title 完本 本因坊秀栄全集 (全4巻). This is a very rare and expensive set if you ever happen upon it.

Well, that seems reasonable.
Thank you all, I think GoGod it is =)
