Hi Everyone

Hello!
I'm Chris from Richmond, Virginia, and I am pretty much brand new to Go. I learned the, er, rules as an undergraduate during/after reading Kawabata's The Master of Go but the game, like the novel, totally eluded me at the time. That was about twelve years ago. A recent conversation with a colleague re-sparked my interest and I've been soaking up everything I can run my eyes over.
This seems like a great community and reading through the threads has already helped me (a) understand some concepts and (b) decide which books/equipment to get. So I already owe this site my thanks, even before making a single post. I am sure I will have many more opportunities to say thank you now that I can post questions!
