Hi Ades,

:w12: :)

:w16: wrong shape. What's your plan if :b17: hanes N16 ?
Did you see that if :b17: N16, you get a bad shape
for your 2 stones :w12: - :w14: ? "Hane head of 2," twice.

Basic shape: "hane head of 2 (enemy stones)":

$$ . . O O B . .

$$ . . . . . . .[/go]
Often (but NOT always), this shape is good for B.
The :bc: stone is the hane, at the head of the 2 enemy :white: stones.

Notice the 2 :white: stones are down to only 2 liberties.

Hi Ades, you're welcome.

:w28: instead of the connect, what happens if you cut K17 ?

:w38: why ?

:w40: study the cut K17.

:w42: study the push J15.
