It took me a while to find a link:
https://people.maths.ox.ac.uk/macdonald ... ood%29.pdf
I used to have this on my wall at Britannica till a woman from the copy department (English majors!) said that she found it lascivious.

By the way, our physics and chemistry editors, both females and my friends, loved it.

Love it! I'm going to pass it on. But lascivious? How come?

English majors, go figure!
It is now above 90 F and 90% humidity in my office, so I need to leave before I drown in a pool of perspiration.

Yeah,
thank you, we do have Rotkäppchen AKA Little Red Riding Hood in Germany; AFAIK it originated here

Thankfully, we‘re getting more wolves meanwhile
But the linked story itself goes just over my head (not that I’m really in distress about that). Only thing that immediately happened was that I wanted to take my red correction pen and change “lemmas” to “lemmata”

but I then again I know the EN speaking world also says “data” when it’s only about one datum and such things
Cordially, Tom
