I received marketing today for a valentine's day present for my pet.

I had an intense facepalm session to mark this occasion.

So, we've gone from anonymous professions of love unrequited, or unrequitable and perhaps not as anonymous, to a mandatory day spent as a couple, and now it's a bit like christmas where you buy gifts for everyone, including your pet.

I shall return to burying my face in the palm of my hand until I feel a little bit better.

Don't forget, pets are people too. I have proof of this: for years our cat got applications from Allstate for car insurance.
