Greetings from Germany

Hello everyone,

I've read in the forum every once in a while during the past year and I found it really enjoyable and helpful. Now I eventually decided to sign up and shortly introduce myself :)

I'm a 22 years old mathematics/physics student from Germany.
A friend of mine showed me the game of Go about seven years ago and even though I was fascinated right away, I didn't play regularly at any time since then, as there is no go club where I live and said friend lives at the further end of Germany. Also I didn't enjoy internet Go that much...
However, I'm going to move to a different town next semester and I'll probably visit the go club there. The latter as well as the videos by Hajin Lee have really motivated me to start studying Go again (I've got piles of unread Go books ). Well, "piles" might be slightly exaggerated but it's enough reading matter for a year or so :)

Before I forget: I'm currently probably somewhere between KGS 10 and 15 kyu, at least that's where I've been last year. Since I plan to play online more regularly from now on, I'll hopefully be able to be more precise soon.

Greetings,
Yasin

Moin Yasin,

willkommen, ist ein nettes Forum hier, viel Spaß! (Kann es sein, dass ich über das DGoB-Forum mal was von Dir gekauft habe? Bücher, oder war’s ein Brett?)

Gruß aus der Lüneburger Heide, Tom

Thanks for your kind replies.

Hi Tom, Du bist mir beim Lesen hier im Forum auch schon aufgefallen :D
Es waren übrigens Essential Joseki und The Second book of Go in deutscher Sprache.
