How to print tsumego collection PDF in double format

At http://tsumego.tasuki.org it says that, after printing the first half of the pages, the paper stack should be turned upside down when printing out the A5 booklet form of the document. When turning it upside down, should it be done by turning along the lengthwise (running from top to bottom) axis of the page or its spanwise (running from left to right) axis? Much obliged in advance.
