Hello everyone!
My name is Ben Mantle, a Canadian 5-6d player. I am still offering lessons and game reviews via BenKyo Tutoring.
I have received a lot of positive feedback and I'd be happy to put you in touch with past/current students of mine.
New website coming soon, hopefully! (check out my signature)
Thanks guys!

2 questions:
1. Where can you show that you are 6d? On OGS the games you played were with people wildly under your level 2 months ago and I can't find your name on the AGA or CGA website.
2. Do you have any samples of your teaching to show people? You don't have sample content on the website yet but you should have sample content if you've taught people before.

For #1, he has recent tournament results:
http://www.go-canada.org/Event/Display/18He seems to be same rank as James Sedgwick, who is 6.6 AGA on us go website.

Hello,
Yes, I'm currently in the midst of gathering my example (past) lessons as well as recommendations. I will also make actual games of mine available. Rather than posting them a few at a time, I'm trying to finish gathering all of them first.
I wish I'd saved all my teaching games and lessons from the past, but on the other hand, I teach and play better now so I'm not too remorseful about that. I will absolutely try to get sample content available as soon as I can!

I'm not sure where you were checking, but I can easily be found on the members list of the CGA website:
http://www.go-canada.org/Membership/ListUnfortunately, my rating seems to have taken a beating ^_^ But I'm not too concerned with that. It will glide into the official 6d range as more tournaments take place.
Cheers

There's also a "Register" button, which works

Anyway, if you don't want to do that, here's the rating:
CGA ID | Name | Rank | Rating | Province/State | City
12256 | Mantle, Ben | 5d | 478 | Ontario | Toronto

My bet would be that most of the students-to-be won't register on a site just to see the teacher's rating. So thanks for putting it into this thread ; )

Fix'd.

To clean up this discussion I've deleted some redundant posts that mainly answered about my playing strength.
I have also adjusted some profile information; since I've still yet to get my Canadian rating to 6d, I have adjusted it to 5d on my profile.
I will eventually get a website back up and post up lots of sample content and testimonials, but in the meantime, just contact me and I can get you in touch with past/current students of mine for feedback

Thanks to everyone so far who has vouched for me or helped with specific inquiries
Tutoring in recent years and months has been going very well, but I'm still looking to increase the student roster.
I have a new website now,
http://benkyotutoring.com. You can find testimonials, but no samples yet.
For now, samples are available upon request. Luckily, I do have a huge folder of weekly lesson SGFs and homework files now that I'm saving them. What I don't have, sadly, are video files or most of the SGF lessson files from years back.
Thanks,
Ben
