Intrusive ads

What's with these intrusive adds? All over the forum ads are appearing in which certain words are highlighted in bold blue caps and used as an advertising link that has nothing to do with go. Is this on purpose? I hope not! Can we get rid of them? I hope so!!

I've seen this before as "free search/toolbar" type adware installed on the user's machine. Certainly I'm not seeing any ads I'm afraid

Thanks. It looks like it was just something that had crept onto my machine.
