I was feeling good about this game until I died to death. I appreciate all comments.

Hi Jarmo,

I wonder if tenuki is bigger ?
( Seems B has three directions to enter/reduce; W won't get too big ? )

Q3 ?

M5 ?

N11 direction bigger ?

119 S11 ?

Thanks EdLee! I was most disappointed with the bottom right corner.

What do you think of the exchange through

? The easiest idea I could think of was just to take a big side and deal with the upper side later. Should I consider a different idea as black?

I never remember if the exchange

-

is good or bad for White (and Black).

And

feels too close to W's jumping stones, to me.

I have heard that the

exchange is bad for white because it removes the potential to invade the corner.

Move 89 should be S17 not S18 and you are pretty much fine against aji white has.

Thank you. I should have played more conservatively while white was down. I think I could have lived with the clamp of :b129: at m8.

When I was learning go, that's what people said. However, pros have started playing it before making a counter-pincer, or even threatening one. One possible reason is that it prevents the diagonal attachment at P-17 if Black sacrifices his pincer stone.
Edit: Also, in the line in this game, if

at J-17,

at Q-12, Black cannot now jump to Q-18.

People on Tygem play it all the times and I've never felt that I could "punish" it.

I have no ideas on punishing it as well. Overall I am happier with sente and the side I got, but I can't say if it is better than what white got in exchange. I am also curious as to when I should go back to the top side, or if I should go to the top side right away. When I play games with walls, I enjoy when the opponent jump in right away so I try to avoid it as long as possible.
