Finally SDK? -- 24 stones lost

Post by Riani »

So this is the game that somewhat secured me as an SDK on KGS and I'd be grateful for any and all feedback. I play black. I know that I made mistakes particularly in the endgame, but there are a few opening points that I was unsure on, and exactly how to prosecute the attack at the top were also unsure for me. I include a lot of my own analysis in the file, even when it clearly fails just so I can work out how I read my intuitions out. Thanks in advance :)

Just one quick comment: At :b13: I'm pretty sure black can clamp at R7 and watch white fall apart.

Hi Rani,

Same note as skydyr: :b13: clamp.

:b15: still clamp R7.

:b17: , :w18: W cuts at Q9 on :w18: -- study the variations.

:b55: Pass; not needed.
You had some mistakes in your :b55: pass vars:
your N3 string still has the 1 liberty at N4,
which is important, and which maybe you missed.

:b57: Pass; yes, F17 much better.

:b59: Good that you check the status of all your groups;
the P10 group already has 1 eye, and is out, so probably OK, for now.

:b67: D12 is an option -- W has weak points at C17 and C15.
