Go Seigen game

I suppose this game from the AGA archives must be of interest to many. Who doesn't like playing through a Go Seigen game?

How is e15 a good move if black connects at f15?
Edit: maybe helps a bit with c17 attachment? but seems to me white can cope fine without the exchange.

Maybe Go didn't want to make a good move at that stage

Oh dear, I've made a bit of a mess of that transcription haven't I. Let me try and fix it again.
