The latest GoGoD database collection is now available on https://gogodonline.co.uk/
This edition includes just on 97,000 games. While being up to date it also adds more Go Seigen games (about 900 and more to come next time), a new Huang Longshi game, and the continuing Shin Fuseki games now includes some from China in the 1930s (these come from Go Seigen).
I also now have some old games from the Ryukyu Islands but can't date them yet, so they will be for next time, too.
The package includes the Names Dictionary, now up to 4,250 entries (mini-biographies with tournament successes, now including the Oteai from 1924. Also included is the old New in Go (html) plus database software suitable for Windows.
This means SmartGo has also been updated earlier than usual (not announced yet, I believe, but awaiting Apple approval), and in future the plan is for SmartGo to continue to be updated more regularly than GoGoD itself. SmartGo also uses the Names dictionary and a new hyperlinked version is currently being tested there. (The main difference between "pure" GoGoD and SmartGo is that with GoGoD direct you get access to all the sgfs en bloc. But with SmartGo you get the bells and whistle state-of-the-art SmartGo Kifu.)
