Professional System In Europe

I just figured I'd bring this up since I didn't see it anywhere, but I could have missed it. Anyway, I was on Igolocal.net and I found out that Europe is getting a professional Go league. I must confess that I am quite jealous if this actually does come to fruition, and it seems likely that it will, but I really wish the US would adopt something like this. Regardless, it all just serves to prove that Go is spreading rapidly these days. So, it can't be too long before the US gets something like this.

It will be interesting if this gets anywhere, and the founders are already awesome for trying!

I agree entirely. Imagine one day that vying for a Go title becomes one of the marquee events in the US, where Pro's are treated like celebrities. Man, that will be an awesome day. ....But it could just be my hopeful overactive imagination.
