Uh oh, did win a game just now inspite of playing this move. The easy way out I took lost me about 3 points. And what about the good ways to make use of this play? Mostly above my head. Now I know why the likes of Gu Li and Alpha Go consider this one. The attachment would have been the better local option. But on the other hand, my opponent also needs to deal well with my interpretation of this move

I remember learning the principle that in the 3rd to 4th line 3 space extension the 'a' points are the good 'v', and the 'b' ones generally bad:
