If you had 10,000$ to spend on go. What would be your course of action?
You do not have to use all of it on go and if you don't, I do not care what you use it on. I want to know what things you will do in the way of Go with it ie. training, books, trips to Japanese, Chinese, Korean Go assosiation, buying equipment all that stuff.
What would you do?

Every go book written in English I could buy for under $50, and ones I particularly want between that and $100.
After that, paid lessons with professionals, once per week, until the money ran out.

If I had $10,000 to spare I would not be spending it on go. I would be buying silver.

I'd go to Vegas and put it on the no pass line. Twice. 10K is not enough to make a difference. 40K might be.
I'd add it to the prize money for Ing at Congress. It might be enough to attract some strong Asian pros.

I don't think I need money for what I want in go. I just would like to spend more time studying it, and learning more about it.
Go is a great game. You don't need money to make it any better.

Go is a hobby that takes practically no money. If I had to spend $10k on go, it'd be folly to spend it on gear. I'd use it toward financing a dead tree translation of select Japanese go writings of past centuries.

It's not enough. It needs to be sufficient to allow me to retire and spend those 50 hours a week that I was working on playing and studying Go.

That wouldn't go very far. If you were to pay a translator fairly, you'd be able to afford a few books, assuming you don't include paying to publish them as dead-tree books.

provided I had to spend it on Go related things, I would use it to visit a bunch of tournaments abroad.

At first I thought about setting up a really sweet go room like the one they have shown in the picture at shodan imports...
Then i thought it would be really sweet to go over to Korea and study as an insei...
