Wait, did I post this already? The subject line was already in my browser cache. Weird. Oh well, I'm an old man, so I just repeat myself.

Ok, so I know all you 2 dozen admins are having lots of fun slinging code around on this brand new server and all...

But I'd really, really, really like to request to be able to view more than 9 posts per page. Please.

Do I have to become an admin to fix it myself?

This is high on the TODO list and I daresay it'll be completed tonight

I'm fairly certain this setting is already changed. It looks like it's set to 20 posts per page, and that seems to be what I'm seeing. I don't believe phpbb makes this a per-user option.

I'm going to be installing a mod that does make it a user-configurable option. Jordus found it, it's here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1101295

It's community-supported, fairly simple, and has high usefulness, so it seems like a prime candidate for inclusion. Just waiting for a low-traffic hour of the day to do it.

As promised, the patch has been applied Anyone can now go into User Control Panel->Board Preferences->Edit Display Options and there should be a "posts per page" field.

It'll start working right away, but for a while you will still see the page count for large topics on the forum index be wrong (don't worry -- it'll be correct once you actually CLICK on the topic). This is just until the cached page counts go away, it doesn't affect the functionality.
