Several users were banned by IP yesterday, including me. It's not exactly clear why this occurred, but in the event that you visited the site and saw that you were banned for no reason, please know that it was not intentional, but rather, a mistake in moderating a specific user. The issue should now be resolved.

For circa two days, I have also experienced the issue or bug but now it seems to be fixed. Thank you for providing some background information!

I had this situation starting on Tuesday evening (UTC). I missed the L19 gang the whole time

I reckoned it was either a glitch in the system related to banning an individual, or a retaliation by that individual. In the worst moments I thought someone had taken my identity to get me banned.

Indeed. Feels like we should get credit for already serving a ban. Like a get out of jail free card!

I, too, was banned. Odd that it happened to people from all over so it seems strange that we all had the same IP! I wonder whether someone was trying to hack the system and was spoofing different IP addresses. Anyhow, glad to be back. I couldn't even send an email to admin to try to clear up the situation.

I too discovered my IP address was banned. Curious bad behaviour of the site isn't it?
Do you know if an explanation has been found?

Google "A ban has been issued on your IP address."

Various posts can then be found on the phpBB forum which suggest that, in principle, this (ANY IP will be banned) can arise as an unintended side-effect of trying to ban a SINGLE user.

Five days after trying to send an email on 2022-10-05 to the admins from the ban webpage, I have got a message that the email could not be delivered.

Indeed, emails to admin@lifein19x19.com bounce.
