Board from Shodan Imports

I bought a katsura floor board from Shodan Imports about a month ago and I wanted to put up a brief post to let people know how impressed I am. The board is beautiful. I got the exact one I picked out; the high-definition pictures on the website were not misleading. The craftsmanship seems, to my untrained eye, very very good. When I tried to place my order the website was malfunctioning. I was able to talk to Mr Thomas directly and he was very helpful and engaging. The board was carefully and well packed and shipped in good time.

I feel like I got an excellent value for the cost and a really fine work of handmade art. It's so beautiful that my wife, who has no interest in go, is eager for it to be on public display in our house. I don't normally do testimonials but I am so happy with my new board that I wanted to share with anyone who might be considering it (by the way, Shodan Imports didn't solicit these remarks in any way). I would gladly patronize Shodan Imports again - for instance, as soon as I can collect the money for some better stones.

Which did you get? Looking at their site their prices seem reasonable.

I bought a Shin Kaya board from Shodan and it is a real work of art. Having visited a number of high-end Go retailers in Japan recently I can say with some certainty that the quality is second to none.
