Hi All

My friend got me a copy of this for Christmas from yellow mountain imports who said that they would be able to include an english translation of the main terms, alas they didnt include one.

Has anyone got a copy of this book, or an understanding of the language in it (possibly mandarin or chinese, excuse the ignorance regarding the actual language).

I would appreciate any help with this if possible.

It looks a great book that should keep me busy for ages.

Have a great new year all!!

Regards
markeemark

Good book.

Check out this page at Sensei's. I don't have that book in front of me but, if I recall, the characters for white ("bai") and ("hei") should get you through most of it; when you see them, it usually means "white to play" or "black to play."

Hi Lovrokic

Your probably right, I may shelve it until i get to about 15 Kyu, I just weant to make sure I can use it when i build up my game a bit.

Do you have any recommendations for good books for newer players? I have iwamoto and a couple of others. (fundamental principles etc,).
regards

1001 life and death problems by Bozulich :D

they are much easier then 1001 weichi... if I were you I wouldnt think about 1001 weichi problems untill SDK, you would be able to maybe solve some of easier ones, but if you are able to buy 1001 Bozulich, first try to work that one through. and really work that one through. you have very good advice on how to do tsumego at http://www.igoindonesia.org/tutorial-go ... -hard.html
